Love Your Tree

Love Your Tree - ClariseMy 15 year old daughter, Clarise, just blew me away with her natural and accidental prophecy.

Clarise’s teaching here is so relevant to all of us during these times, we both wanted you to have access to it.  This wisdom came pouring through Clarise for her friend.  I believe we are ALL channels of great wisdom when we are open.  Enjoy this intimate peek inside the meaningful conversation of two teenage girls about life and love.

This was the subject line of her text forward to me:

OMG MOM I JUST TAUGHT MY FRIEND SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL THAT I TOTALLY JUST ADDLIBBED I HAD NO IDEA HOW BRILLIANT THIS WOULD TURN OUT I JUST WANTED TO PUT HER MIND ON SOMETHING THAT WASNT HER EX AAAAAAH IM FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW I LOVE MY TREE SO MUCH

She gave me permission to share here the transcript of a text conversation she had with her friend who was mourning a lost relationship.  And here is the transcript (edited just barely to protect names)…

Friend: I miss my ex-boyfriend. Make it stop with your friend powers. PLZ

Clarise: Ok imagine yourself in a box

OK

This box has a tree and you are hugging the tree

Ok

This box has only enough room in it for you and the tree

This tree loves you a lot and you love this tree

Kk Sure

Tree has a sweet smell and has silky bark.
This tree is yours and yours alone

Ohhh Awesome Ok

The only thing that can hurt this tree is you.
And the only thing that can hurt you is the tree

Oh

So you must keep peace with this tree, understand? This tree has your name.
I have a tree too. My tree is named Clarise
But that’s not important right now.
You only have to care for YOUR tree

Yes. Ok.  But how does that keep me from missing him?

This tree does not need sunlight or soil, nor water or air

OK but clarise, I miss him so much. I love him so much.

This tree does not care for your ex. This tree is now jealous that you are thinking about that a**hole while you are supposed to be paying attention to your tree!

Haha OMG

This tree feeds on love.
But not anyone elses love, only your love.
But the love cannot be for someone else.IMG_8253
This love has to be for your tree.
Not many people know about this loving tree.

Oh But I love him still Dang. This is a really good analogy.

But those who know, and have come to peace with their tree are the most beautiful and radiant. These people are the happiest.

Hogg. Sorry autocorrect

Listen to me

I meant to say ohh but it changed it
Sorry I’m listening

You are in a box with your tree. You must pay very close attention to this tree.
Don’t let your mind wander off.
Don’t think of anyone but your tree, your own tree.
Love your own tree.

Ok. It’s hard.

Feed your tree. Make sure she is never without herself.
You can never leave this tree.

I’ll try my hardest. Ok

You don’t have to try, just do.
The tree will help you.

How?

It will guide you, and it will hug you back.

Ok but what do I do?

No one else can make you feel happier than this tree. Don’t “do” anything

What about my future husband or you? Ur my best friend! 🙂

We can only teach you about this tree.
That is all we can do. You are the only one in that box.

That sucks. I need people

I’m not saying that you don’t have us. We are always here. We will always love you.
And we will always be here as a shoulder for you to lean on and an informational source you can (hopefully) rely on.

I know I just want to stop thinking about him and just willpower can’t stop my brain from thinking about him.

Ok then think about him.
Don’t force yourself to not think about him. That won’t work.

Ugh, I know. I don’t know what to do to feel better.

Love him, fine. But NEVER forget to love your tree.
Listen to me.
IF YOU WONT LISTEN TO ME, THEN LISTEN TO YOUR TREE.

I will listen to my tree. I promise.

Your tree can love you more than anyone else in the world, but if you get mad at it, you are blaming it for yourself being human.

IMG_8260I know I don’t mean to

I’m allowed to say mean things about your tree, your ex can trick your tree into thinking that he cares, but none of that matters. Your tree feels none of it.
Your tree only feels you.

What? Awww 🙂

You can choose to feel pain, and pain is ok. Your tree will show you the way through pain as long as you still love the tree.
But if you try to push your tree away, if you hate the tree for letting you feel pain, then the tree won’t have the ability to hold you.
Its voice won’t reach you.

Oh that sucks.

No it doesn’t

OK

The tree is love, but it cannot create its own love.
It is nourished from your love directed to it, whether you think of it as a “tree” or not.

Oh I see. Thank you for this advice. I should go to bed now.

OK

Nite

I’ll tell you more about your tree tomorrow. Goodnight.
Sorry if it sounded like a lecture, but I think I even taught myself something tonight.

That’s really cool.
Thank you, A LOT.

Clarise and I talked a lot more about this teaching of hers the next day.  We took a walk near the beach, and she let me take some photos of her in a big tree to share.  She even recorded some more of her thoughts into my phone as we walked.  Feel free to listen to this informal interview recording below or click here to download.

A few things to ponder in the wake of this share…

Do you listen to the profound wisdom that pours through kids?

Do you believe we are all capable of allowing spiritual wisdom to pour through us?

I’d love to hear your own thoughts and stories on the subject! :))

Meanwhile, enjoy these sacred days.
